My DIY erhu no.2

This is the second erhu that I have made. All the wooden parts is made from poor quality wood that I salvaged. Compared to my first erhu, this erhu is easier to make because I have some tools at home to aid me. The snake skin is a gift from a sanxian maker in KL, and the quality is just so so only. some of the frequencies of the inner strings played on this erhu is gone. Maybe due to my poor streching and poor wood quality for the handle that holds the string, but the condition improves the more it is played.

I was considering to reskin the erhu. But I will have to wait until there is holiday to do so. besides the skin being not taut enough, another construction mistake is the size of the drum is a bit smaller than standard. Its a minor measurement taking mistake. However, it is still playable and is heavier than the erhu that I bought. As promised, I will later show this erhu to the sanxian maker in kl. One of my greatest accomplishment in making this erhu is making the saddle. Unless you tried to make one, you wont know its complexities. Later if got chance, I want to show mr.steven my erhu teacher the finished product. I guess its ok for someone to show the things that they has built themselves painstakingly.

Sweet Lassi

This is the Northhern Indian drink that I frequently ordered recently. My first lassi was very horrible smelling. But then I found out that the Indian shop opposite the food court sells lassi with ice blended and does not has that strong fermentation smell.

The only downside of it was its price rm2.50 was a bit over my budget and the glass is too big. It goes well with almost all indian and mamak food, especially spicy dishes. Sometimes I took it as a remedy for minor stomach and body discomfort. When the wheather is hot or when you are very thirsty, its good to have a nice big glass of ice blended sweet lassi!.

Amway.

Hm.... i have found myself promoting amway's product every now and then when I'm in conversation with friends. To know the facts of their products is a topic of conversation and suggestion. In my opinion, their products are unquestionably good, but the only barrier to substitude to their brand is its cost.

Although if you compare with other product of the less or same quality in the market, one would actually notice its just about the same price. some is slighty expensise, some is same price and some products are indeed cheaper. So, whats driving the cost of the cheaper products to be higher? its because of its concentration and volume. Due to their environmental policy, their product is sold in concentrated form and in large volume. It is to decreace the shipping and extra bottling cost.

Amway needs direct selling to sell its product because due to its products high quality production, its already has a high cost to start with. if they sell it by traditional way, it will has tv advertisement, poster, newspaper add, creative bottle design with all sizes, promotion plus various cost added to its product and it will become unrealistic to buy them. Besides, there will be price increase in every stages of middleman and shops that sells it.

Shelf top selling is no good because it will cause the product in some shop to become stagnant(old). Since they dont have chemical preservatives, they have a short live span. So, in my future, if i can afford it, i will replace my household and personal nessacities to quality product that not only does not harm ourself but also the environment.

Hi!. I just write something because i was loged on to read Dianne's blog. 1st of all, Happy CNY to all. Recently all my play frens is too preoccupied for themselves. what should i say about fren like this? only available when they are too free or want to find u out to play. recently they dont even have the initiative to find me go play or chat. so, i was SERIOUSLY reconsidering this type of frendship. For them, friend is just something disposable. Can have or dont have also nevermind. but for me, my fren is my universe.
So to avoid being hurt again, maybe i should just stay away from them. I really in lost of contact with them. it hurts me alot. seems like i have to beg for atention, and still be ignored. cant spare me 10? 5? or just 2 mins before u sleep?or just one line of ym msg will do. But nothin. nothin at all. all back to I,myself and me. so, why i need them? God bless u all. good nite.
